BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Your booking is with UK Outdoor Events Limited, a company registered in England with the company number 14056819 and registered offices of  Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, England, IP28 7DE trading as “Boondock Events’’ (“we”, “us” and “our’’) and “You” the customer.

Your contract with us

After completing your booking you enter a contract with UK Outdoor Events Limited. Everything booked with the UK Outdoor Events Limited is subject to the terms and conditions laid out on this page. Upon booking you accept that you have read our terms and conditions. 

Booking

You have the opportunity to review all details of the booking prior to making a final purchase. You confirm that you have the authority to make a booking. If you are also booking for other members in your party, you are responsible for providing us with accurate information for all parties.

Payment


You must make payment in full at the time of booking. We have a 48 hour ‘cooling off’ period if you have made the booking in error and notify us in writing to info@boondockevents.com, in such circumstances you shall receive a full refund minus the booking fees (5%).

Prices & accuracy of website and information

While we try to ensure all information is accurate, occasionally errors occur and we reserve the right to correct prices in those circumstances. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

Medical forms

Completing a short medical form is a prerequisite of joining a hiking trips or signing up to a race. We will do our best to accommodate you, but there might be rare circumstances where we are unable to fulfil your order as a result of a medical condition. In such circumstances, a full refund will be given minus the booking fee (5%_.

Late arrivals

For races, we recommend you arrive when registration opens. While we will do our best to accommodate your late arrival, failure to arrive at the scheduled time will not entitle you to a refund or any expenses you have incurred to get to the location. You will not be allowed to race unless you have attended the registration.

For hiking trips, we recommend all participants arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled activity time. While we will do our best to accommodate your late arrival, failure to arrive at the scheduled time will not entitle you to a refund or any expenses you have incurred to get to the location.

Complaints

Must be made in writing and within 30 days of your trip or event date, please send to info@boondockevents.com

Alternative dispute resolution process

For customers in the EAA, you can submit a dispute to the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform. This is where an independent body will consider the case without you having to go to court.

Cancellations made by UK Outdoor Events Limited

Our primary concern is your health and safety and the safety. There are very rare instances, where we might have to cancel an event. This can be due to a number of factors including events like landowner revoking permissions at short notice, 'force majeure' events such as poor weather (e.g. lightening storms) or staff absenteeism which impacts our ability to run a safe event. You will received a full refund minus the payment processing fee (5%) within 30 days to your original account or the option to transfer onto another date.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking with immediate notice for any of the following reasons. 

- Abuse of staff, members of the public or other group members.

- Deliberate acts of littering or failing to adhere to the countryside code.

- Loss of control of your pet,
- Refusal or failure to complete safety or medical forms.
- Refusal to follow a direct instruction from event staff.

Upon Us cancelling your contract with You, You will be no longer be part of the organised activity and you will not be entitled to a refund. This may initially be done verbally and will always be confirmed in writing and within 48 hours.

Cancellations made by You

If you can't come for any reason whether that be injury, illness or any other factor - no refund or transfer will be offered.

Insurance

If you want to cover your entry fee, we recommend you have your own insurance which should cover you and your party against the cost of cancellation by you. This includes the booking fee and any other costs such as travel that you have incurred. If you choose to join without adequate insurance cover, we will not be liable for any losses howsoever arising, in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.

We hold in-date public and products liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Photography & Video

Our media team will take pictures during the race which might be fo you. If you don’t wish for photos to be taken of You, You must email us on info@boondockevents.com. Completing the booking gives us consent to take your photo which may be shared on the website, or with event partners.

Use of and holding personal data

Please read our privacy policy for full information related to how we use your personal data. We are required to hold your personal data and will share it with trip organisers and leaders as appropriate.

What personal data to we collect about you?

Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. People typically think of personal data as solely relating to things like your name and email address, but it can actually be much broader than that.

Identity Data: this includes your first name and last name;
